Carbon Dioxide (CO2) lasers are being used in numerous fields of medical sciences including Gynaecology, Dentistry and Aesthetics. In medical aesthetics, CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing is the gold standard treatment for acne scaring, birth marks, pigmentation, wrinkles, stretch marks, enlarged pores, discoloration, uneven tone and many other skin problems.
Laser beams penetrates the skin, selectively evaporating the top layer of the skin by using advanced medical technology to stimulate the regeneration of new and healthy skin.
CO2 laser skin resurfacing is the most advanced and one of the safest ways to remove the old and damaged layers of the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing process. Consecutively, regrowth of new skin cells stimulates the production of collagen and elastin which are the building blocks of skin. These youth factors transform the texture of the skin improving the appearance of scars, wrinkles, pigmentation and the signs of ageing.

However, allow about an hour for the full treatment as the preparations and discussion with doctor will take some time too.

Different people experience different level of discomfort. Our expert doctors use local anaesthetics or topical numbing cream to minimise any discomfort during treatment. You might feel slight burning sensation as the effect of cream wears off.
What is the recovery time?
Recovery time completely depends on the area and level of energy required to perform the treatment. However, advancements in the technology have reduced the recovery time tremendously in last a few years. Recovery time for fractional skin resurfacing is between 3-5 days, after that period you can apply makeup and resume your normal life.
How many treatments do I need?
This is one of those treatments which produce real noticeable results. Even after first treatment you will notice a difference. However, number of treatments will depend on your condition. Acne scaring or winkles might require 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart to achieve the real results.
Your doctor will discuss the plan in more detail during the free consultation.
When will I notice the results?
You will start noticing the results within one week post treatment. However, your body will be producing collagen and elastin for weeks or even months after treatment. Thus, your skin will keep improving for months post treatment.
What should I expect after my treatment?
You might feel slight burning sensation for next 12 hours after the treatment. As the treated area starts to heal, it can turn dark or even scab which will start coming off after 2-3 days. Fresh baby skin will emerge and you will start noticing the results.
